For You Card....

Hi There...

I've been MIA for awhile.  I haven't had much time for my paper crafts the past several days...we all know how that can happen.  Today I'd like to share a card that I've made for my SIL's birthday.

The card itself is so much nicer IRL as it has a lovely sheen to all of the card stock used.  I've used "Cuttlebug" folders for the background papers and a "Spellbinders" die for the lace circle.  You will notice that the "Stickles" are still wet in the circle.  I needed to take the photo while it was daylight here and I didn't have the time to wait until the glitter had a chance to dry.  The butterfly is made with a "Martha Stewart" punch and the flower and leaf were made using "Spellbinders" dies also.  The bling is by "Prima".

Well, the Blog Hop over at "Let's Scrap" www.letsscrap.ning.com is finally over.  For all of you who participated in it...GOOD LUCK!!!  The prize winners will be announced on there site later on tonight.  Everyone had a wonderful time and lot's of fun sending in their layouts...it was so nice to see so many fabulous creations.  It gave me so much inspiration to get more of my personal challenges finished.  Well, I'll close for now....Thanks for dropping by and Happy Scrapping!

And so it began....

Hi There....

Today I would like to share with you a layout that I completed recently.  I've used some photos of my DH and myself that were taken way back when...farther back than I would care to admit...LOL!

Once again...I've used Kaiser's beautiful papers titled "English Rose Collection".  The card stock used is by "Coredinations".  I've also used ecru lace by "Graphic 45" and flowers by "Prima".  I've placed "Flower Soft" into the centres of the flowers.  I've also added some bling by "Prima" and my border and leaves were punched using "Martha Stewart" punches.  The title was made using the "Cricut" machine and the "Jasmine" cartridge.

This layout was completed for the "Lets Scrap" Blog Hop www.letsscrap.ning.com .  There are 15 challenges on the Blog Hop.  Why not check it out?....There are so many beautiful layouts to see and get inspiration from.  The Hop continues until February 14th...so there's still time left for you to join in!

Well I had better close for now....Thanks for stopping by....

Days Gone By...

Hi There...

Today I would like to share with you a layout I completed for the "Let's Scrap" Blog Hop http://www.letsscrap.ning.com/   You should drop by the site and look at all of the wonderful layouts that the members have created.  There is still plenty of time to participate as it doesn't end until February 14th.

This is a layout featuring a photo of my Grandparents and their sons.  My Father on the right and his younger brother.  I love looking at the old photos...this one in particular as all of these family members are now gone.

I've used a lovely line of papers from Sweden.  They are from the "Magnolia" company.  This company also makes beautiful stamps.  The colours are soft Indigo blues and creamy yellows.  The background paper has a lovely silver sheen to it.  They show up much richer when seen IRL.  The blue flowers are "Prima" and the yellow/blue rose is "Wild Orchid Crafts".  The lettering is done with the Cricut and "Storybook" cartridge.  I've also used "Martha Stewart" punches and added faux stitching.  The pearls are by "Kaiser".

I hope you've enjoyed seeing this layout.  Thanks for dropping by...

Lyn

Wedding Layout...

Hi There...

This is a layout of our DD Christine & SIL John's wedding.  I had a great time doing this one.  I've used a sketch from the  "Lets Scrap" http://www.letsscrap.ning.com/  site.  They have wonderful sketches to help you with your creative endeavors.

I've used a beautiful line of papers titled "English Rose Collection" by "Kaisercraft".  They make such lovely lines of papers.  The large "Spellbinders" hearts were created using a gorgeous paper from this line.  It has rich deep flocking.  It is just so lovely IRL.  Photos don't do it justice.  I have also used a deep "Merlot" card stock from "Coredinations".  I have added "Prima" bling here and there.  The two hearts in the centre of the photos are raised as is the wedding cake.  I may add the date to the upper RH corner of the RH page at a later date...I'll have to give it some thought first.

Well thanks for dropping by...Happy Scrapping...

Hugs,
Lyn

Snow Fun....

Hi There....

Today I'm posting a layout that I completed for the "Lets Scrap" blog hop http://www.letsscrap.ning.com/ .  This layout is done with Bo Bunny's "A Gift Of Love" papers.  The title was cut on my trusty Cricut machine and the mittens and snowflakes were made using the latest winter releases from Spellbinders.

I must admit that I laugh every time I look at these photos as they remind me of an incident that happened while I was taking them.

DGD Hannah and grand dog Louie were having a wonderful time playing in the snow.  I thought what a perfect photo op!  Once I had taken a few photos...Louie roamed off and Hannah went about playing.  I was putting away the camera while stepping off of the front step.  The next thing I knew I was in mid-air...and landed with a full face plant in the snow!  I hadn't noticed that the dog had come back and I tripped over him!!! LOL!!!
DH was in the car waiting...and turned to our son and said "Who's that kid making snow angels?"  He didn't realize that it was me!
The poor dog skulked away with his head down...he thought he was in big trouble...poor thing.  I gave him lots of hugs and tried to make him realize that he hadn't done anything wrong.  I should have been more observant.  So...needless to say I'm now very aware of my surroundings when with the kids and dogs.

I hope everyone hunkers down today and rides out this massive snow storm that is currently blasting all of us.  If driving...Please be careful!!!  Stay at home if at all possible.  This is a great time to get caught up on your scrapbooking if you don't have other commitments.

Thanks for dropping by...

Hugs,
Lyn
